The Metropolia’s and AIStart’s XR sessions are a key part of developing the Immersive Sustainability Lab concept. During the workshops, participants will engage in discussions and activities to share insights and identify unique needs, paving the way for innovations that can be nurtured within the Lab. Additionally, we will introduce existing immersive solutions to enhance the companies’ expertise. There is also potential to collaborate on pilot projects, where our development team will work with companies to build and test innovative ideas using immersive technologies.
“Grounded in Finnish values of equality, trust, and respect for nature, the Lab integrates emerging technologies such as XR (Extended Reality) and AI (Artificial Intelligence) to tackle global challenges in sustainable solutions and urban development.”
The Immersive Sustainability Lab was established through a collaboration between the Helsinki XR Center and the Virtual World Society. Grounded in Finnish values of equality, trust, and respect for nature, the Lab integrates emerging technologies such as XR (Extended Reality) and AI (Artificial Intelligence) to tackle global challenges in sustainable solutions and urban development. Housed within the Helsinki XR Center, the Lab will be renovated to be a relaxed, down-to-earth environment that fosters a connection with nature and people while effectively harnessing modern technology.
